Fruits are great. They're natural, delicious, and for the most part, healthy!
But if you have type 2 diabetes you do need to be careful about which fruits are part of your typical everyday diet.

Dried fruits contain a ton of sugar that can cause pretty significant spikes to blood sugar levels. If you're looking to keep blood sugar stable, it's best to avoid these sugary treats.
This tropical delicacy is quite high on the glycemic index, making it a no-go for anyone with type 2 diabetes.
One grape contains roughly one full gram of carbs. If you're trying to reduce the amount of carbs in your diet, you'll definitely want to steer clear of grapes.

Fruits are delicious and can certainly be part of a healthy diet, even if you're living with diabetes. The trick is to be smart about which fruits you're eating. If it has a lot of carbohydrates, or is high in sugar, it's probably best to avoid it.
